Following last year’s landmark event, Hilderinc Football Club held their 2nd Annual General Meeting last Friday, 24th February 2017, in an assembly that was dominated by the byword, “Progression”, as the Club looked and planned ahead with developmental initiatives.
In this opening speech, the Outgoing Club President, Logaraj Sundram, thanked the commitment of all the members and highlighted that with the several additions since the transition from the Sunday to the Saturday League, the Club has seen an increase in the number of dedicated members adding strength and depth to the team, both with their contributions both on and off the pitch.
He also laid out his vision to see more youth brought into the Club, the plans for forming a second team, and also about improving the Hilderinc social bonding with healthy initiatives planned.
The Club, for the second year running, reported healthy surpluses at the end of the December 2015-November 2016 financial year, and all efforts to be taken to ensure that this will be an upward trend in all future reports.
While formational committee members, Jeevan T Kannu and Azman Azmi, the Club’s first President and Secretary, respectively, along with Sashikumar Mahathevan, decided to step down after two years of dedicated leadership, the Hilderincs welcomed the next generation leaders, as Nicholas Ledenmark, Chua Yuxuan and Sunny Tharidu were initiated in their stead.
The Club also voted old-time stalwart, Simon Khaw as the new President and Leslie Eng as the new Treasurer, while Gopal Peethambaran was re-elected as Secretary for a second term.
With the elevation of Simon Khaw, who also served as HFC’s General Manager, Chua Yuxuan and Nicholas Ledenmark were appointed Hilderinc FC’s General Manager and Assistant General Manager, respectively, in a collective leadership team, consisting of both experience and youth to propel the Blacks to higher levels.
Amongst other things, the Club also announced the confirmation of a new kit sponsorship with Netherland based, Numidia BV, and details of which will be made public in due course.
Although much consolidation has been ongoing, the focus of the Club was very much towards the future advancement and the AGM sets the motions for all that will be achieved in months and years to come.
